Kids Draw the News
Fairly freshly launched by the good people at the NYT, Kids Draw the News is just what it sounds like - people under twelve making graphic renderings of current events, to be submitted to the New York Times' City Room blog. Each assignment is based on one NY-local news-worthy episode; parents are encouraged to read the article along with their children to put the news in context. This week, we have the "Pharaoh Bloomberg Incident" in which an unabashed poke at the Mayor caused the head of the City Council to "get mad and walk out" of a wage rally.
