Commerce, We Have Arrived

Next week in Paris begins the sixth edition of the first international art fair dedicated exclusively to contemporary drawing. Drawing Now Paris brings together 82 galleries, in conjunction with a host of cultural events around the city.

Exquisite Corpse-ing at the MoMA

Exquisite Corpses: Drawing and Disfiguration opens Wednesday at the Museum of Modern Art (NY), and runs through July 9. I find it curious that whenever we do an exquisite corpse project in a class (usually once a term), there is as much fascination over the name as there is in the drawings that result. After reading this history of the practice, I like to think "Senegal Oyster" came in a close second.
